How to transfer your remaining Edy balance from a Rakuten card with the Edy function

The Edy balance of a Rakuten card can be transferred using a multi-function copier at FamilyMart, the Rakuten Edy app, or a device such as Pasori. Please check the migration method below.
* Transferring balances with the Rakuten Edy app is only available for models compatible with the Android mobile wallet.
Cases where transfer of Edy balance is required:
- When renewing an expiring Rakuten card
- When a new card is being issued in order to switch brand (eg. VISA to JCB)
- When a card is being reissued due to a magnetic defect
Please note
This service is only available for Rakuten cards with the Edy function.
Balances can ONLY be transferred from an old card to a new card with the SAME credit card holder.
The balance cannot be transferred from a new card to an old card.
Edy you havent received yet (Edy Gift) cannot be transferred to a new card. Please transfer the balance after receiving it on the old card.
This service can only be used once per old card.
If you are unable to transfer the balance with this service, please use up the balance on the old card.
