I would like to know the procedure of cancelling a family card

If you wish to cancel your family card, please contact us via chat support (operating hours: 9:30 AM - 1:30 AM).
Please have the card ready and contact us either as the primary cardholder or the family cardholder.

For Members with a Rakuten Edy Integrated Card

  • If there is a balance on the Rakuten Edy on the family card you have been using, please make sure to use up the balance before cutting the card with scissors and disposing of it.

  • If the card is disposed of, the accumulated Edy balance will not be compensated. Please be aware that any loss will be borne by the customer.

For Members with a Rakuten Point Card Function Integrated Rakuten Card We recommend deactivating the Rakuten Point Card function. Please follow the procedure below. *You will need to log in with the Rakuten ID of the family cardholder.

  1. Check if the Rakuten Point Card number on the back of the card matches.

Important Notes:

  • We do not accept cancellations via the website.
  • Please cut the magnetic strip (or the IC chip for IC cards) with scissors to make the card unusable and dispose of it.
  • If you are using the card for recurring payments such as mobile phone or internet services, please separately cancel or change the payment method with each service provider.
